Non-profits, community groups and clubs can post events by accessing our website and filling out the Bulletin Board form. SCAN-TV is a partnership between Silver Falls School District and the City of Silverton providing public access television stations through the Charter Communications, Inc. cable system. SCAN-TV is committed to providing programming for and about the Silverton and Mt. Angel area. Also, SCAN-TV provides a continuously playing bulletin board for local non-profit organizations, government, churches, and the school district to announce upcoming events along with for-profit business names and telephone numbers. The bulletin board is updated weekly. Announcement forms may be obtained at the SCAN-TV website or by contacting Gary Marshall. It is the mission of SCAN-TV to create an enhanced sense of community by advancing the civic, cultural, spiritual and educational interests of the people, their government and educational institutions through locally controlled and supported public access television. The community's access to television is a logical extension of First Amendment Rights to the most widely used and powerful communications technology of our day. With PEG access television, local people learn to "speak for themselves" through programs they produce for the cable system. SCAN-TV is now being managed by the Silver Falls School District SCAN-TV seeks to work in partnership with other local non-profit organizations, government, and the Silver Falls School District and we are always looking for Underwriters to sponsor programming produced by students and the staff of SCAN-TV.
